OUR STORY
As Bridge Bible Church was started in October of 2006 with a shared vision of meaningful worship, practical Bible teaching, and an intentional focus on mission, the same passion was focused into a place for youth. God uniquely orchestrated circumstances which allowed for the youth ministry at Bridge Bible Church not only to be launched, but see growth and development through the years. In February of 2010 after sustained growth, Bridge Bible Church started a second campus in northern Muskegon. This amazing journey of following God has allowed Ourspace to reach teens from all over West Michigan. While we are two campuses, we are one church. Our centralized youth ministry allows students to interact with our core values and purpose in tangible ways. We would love for your student to come and see what God is doing at Ourspace.
MORE ABOUT US
Ourspace, the youth ministry of Bridge Bible Church, longs to follow God while creating safe spaces for teens to discover Him. There is no higher calling, aspiration, or course in life than for one to come to the saving knowledge of Christ and to grow in their relationship with Him. We thank God for bringing together a community of teens from across West Michigan who love the Lord, love each other, love His Word, and want to see His will be done.
Partnering with parents is at the core of who we are. We believe that the biblical responsibility for raising children is given to the parent. We desire to partner with parents in order to equip, train, come alongside and support the parent as they raise their children.
Ourspace exists for one soul purpose— to make More & Better Disciples. We do not just believe that is possible, but that it is necessary. We believe we are called to make more disciples— that is being evangelistic. The Great commission points His followers through His power to make disciples. We see that happening through going, baptizing, and teaching (Matthew 28:16-20). We also think making better disciples, that is, growing deeper in faith, is crucial (1 Thessalonians 4:3). We do not want to be good at just one or the other. We believe we can and must do both. Acts 16:5 says, “So the churches were strengthened in the faith, AND they increased in numbers daily.” (underline and caps for emphasis). This is not either/or, it is both/and.
Bridge Bible Church has four core values that Ourspace seeks to embody as we make More & Better Disciples. We desire to see everyone grow intentionally in their faith in ways that are not ritualistic but the result of a deep, personal relationship with the God who created and redeemed us. We want those who walk into our group to interact with God in a new and fresh way, and to walk away changed. This is not simply a place for surface level acquaintances. We enter into community with one another in a real and authentic way, celebrating joys and walking through hardships. It is common to find fellow members stepping up to the plate to give of their time, talents, and treasures to help meet both the physical and spiritual needs of others. The church is extremely generous and has a high standard of stewarding the gifts of God in a way that is truly honorable to Him. We have had countless opportunities to extend that generosity beyond the walls of our church in compassionate outreach not only the greater Muskegon area, but also the world. There are many agencies and families that God has positioned to be key influencers in their geographic locations and areas of expertise. Bridge is privileged to partner with these ministries in order to become more effective for the Kingdom of God.
